About
Our mission at Fire Safe Services is two-fold: to share our knowledge and experience on a fire hazard that is often overlooked and provide you with high-quality service.

The source of clothes dryer fires begins inside the dryer itself - not in the duct. That is why cleaning the vent alone is insufficient. The clothes dryer itself needs to be disassembled and cleaned as well.

Fire Safe Services is one of the very few companies in Ontario that not only cleans the clothes dryer duct/vent but the interior of the clothes dryer cabinet where lint accumulates near the wiring and heating element.

Our team goes above and beyond to cater to each project’s specific needs and ensure your satisfaction.

FAQs
Not all clothes dryer problems are the same.

There are no bandage solutions.

Clothes Not Drying
Why are my clothes still damp?
If your dryer is heating up and the drum is tumbling, most likely there is a problem with the vent such as:
a kinked dryer vent
lint build up or blockage in the vent
damage to the exterior vent
disconnected vent that you cannot see

We can troubleshoot and find the solution to your problem.

Burning Odour
What's that smell?
Depending on the materials that are being dried, varying odours can emit from the dryer. A persistent odour that does not go away can be the start of a problem. A burning smell whether accompanied by smoke or not should be investigated, as the cause of the odour may be a fire hazard.
Drywall Staining
Why are there water stains on my walls?
If you notice water staining on your ceiling or bulkhead near or around the area where your dryer's duct is located, there is a possibility that the dryer duct is broken, disconnected, or blocked.

Exterior Vent Closed
Is the dryer vent working?
Depending of the type of exterior vent cover, it may be difficult to visually determine whether there is a closed/shut damper on the interior of the vent box.
Older Condo Buildings
Why is hot air and moisture blowing into my bathroom?
Some older condo buildings may have the dryer duct connected to the bathroom duct via a main exhaust fan. If a problem exists, hot air and moisture can blow into the bathroom when the dryer is operating.
Dryer Duct Installation
Is my dryer duct installed properly?
Plastic ductwork should never be used for dryer venting. Depending on the installation of your clothes dryer, you may need ductwork that is either metal, ridged flex, aluminum flex, or a combination.
